English Sucks

And I never thought I'd find myself saying that.

"It is an unknown side effect of being an English major that when one spends too much time reading misanthropic literature that spews hate at the whole world, you begin to find humanity's little idiosyncrasies sucking your will to live." -Karen Wilson
Easter was okay...I wasn't as psyched about it and hanging around with my cousins like I used to be. It was quieter than last year...I mean, my grandfather now has a walker (when did that happen?) and therefore couldn't sneak around stealing candy, which was a relief. He didn't smell as bad either, thank God. But in general, I just wasn't into everything...they were running around, and I just wanted to lie around and bond with their Gameboys.

Maybe I'm getting too old for this stuff.

I'm really not liking my English classes. 46B prof is one of those quick-talking lecturers who doesn't take a breath. He explained "Lycidas" relatively well, though. As opposed to 46C prof, who is very chirpy and perky and "let's talk about what it was like in the Victorian era, and then let's write about it, and don't forget to do your writing journal!" (which has not been explained, hello?) and "oh, let's do groupie work! yay!" Ugh. I'm not a fan of group projects. C seems slightly less boring than B, but both well, suck. I'm suspecting this won't be a good quarter, somehow.

Design class starts tomorrow, and I meet with the computer prof. Hmmm. Let's hope that goes well.
