About the Author
Paul J. Friday, Ph.D.

Paul J. FridayPaul J. Friday, Ph.D. is an award-winning clinician, nationally acclaimed lecturer and author. In his current position he serves as Chief of Clinical Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Shadyside. In addition, he is President of Shadyside Psychological Services. Dr. Friday is a member of numerous professional societies including: the American Psychological Association, Division of Consulting and Clinical Psychologists; the Pennsylvania Psychological Association; and the American Association of Clinical Hypnosis.

A sought after lecturer, Dr. Friday has presented programs to national and international forums dealing with topics including cognitive therapy, stress management, and effective human communication.

As an author, Dr. Friday has appeared on national radio and television talk shows in support of his book, Friday's Laws. Dr. Paul Friday received his Masters Degree and Doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh. His undergraduate studies were at LaSalle College in Philadelphia where he participated in a program that took him to the University of Vienna for two years of specialized study.

He has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania since 1976. Dr. Friday lives in southwest Pennsylvania with his wife Patricia and two daughters, Alison and Erika.
