All of the poems here are my original work. No, I don't think I'm some wonderful, insightful, goddess of poetry. These are just reflections of recent places in my life that are thought provoking. Some who read these lines will recognize themselves, to them I thank you for the inspiration.
I want to tell you how I feel, but fear that you will reject me.
Your friendship means so much to me, I can't risk losing it.
This passion that controls me could cause me to lose so much
I need you, I want you -- dare I tell you this out loud?
The true love I have for you is more than you will probably ever know.
But if the day comes that you learn how much you mean to me, I hope you understand.

The music of the wind moving through the trees
reminds me of a dance we once shared.
The sunlight on a green field, reminds me of a day
spent in laughter and fun.
But these are just memories of days gone by.
You are gone now, released to be free.
Away from me you soar like an eagle on the wind.
Will we meet again?
Only time will tell.

To have you once,
To convince you to be mine.
Please let me love you,
Let me have that for which I pine.
You tease me with a fleeting kiss,
Or a gentle soft caress.
You let me hold you close,
Do you know what that does to me?
I want to taste the nectuar of your being,
Touch you as only a lover can.
I long to place the kiss of desire upon your sweet lips;
Will you respond or turn away and laugh?
I promise to be tender,
Please you as only I can,
Make all your fantasies a reality,
Bring your dreams to light.
I would do anything to win your heart,
You only need ask.
Only YOU can make my dreams come true,
Just say the words I long to hear,
"I love you,"
And let me know that finally,
You are mine.

I want to reach out and touch your hand.
Can I?
Some days it is all I can do not to kiss you.
May I?
Do you know how much I want you?
To love you, to give my heart to you?
But yet I know that it will never be,
And that I must quench this all consuming desire,
To refrain from making myself a fool,
Or worse yet, pushing you away.
To have you, to have my dream realized,
It is all I think of, yet know it will never be.

A smile played across my lips as our eyes met,
His soft southern drawl melted my heart when he asked my name,
A flutter of the heart and off my feet I was swept,
Something quiet and sweet drew me to him, like the moth to flame;
A shockwave of pleasure coursed through me when he took my hand,
My mind was swimming with anticipation, wondering what would happen next,
The soft, teasing flesh of his lips upon my fingers,
Warmed me like the sun upon sand;
He must be a dream or an angel sent for me,
The knight in shining armour, upon his palefry horse, from medevil tales;
As he released my hand and moved to say good-bye,
My heart let out a sigh as he placed a final kiss on my cheek,
His parting words were a sad song in my ears,
And in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

Tumbling, falling through the vastness of space,
cold and alone speeding through the darkness.
Unknown forces pushing and pulling at will,
giving direction with no known destiny.
Powers unwilling to relinquish control,
guiding and driving towards a mysterious goal.
Moving with the floatsom and jetsom, this unknown
destination may be unwelcome.
But alas, the ignigma of it raises the curiostiy.
Dare one risk the journey?
To take the chance means possible failure, but
to deny it means never knowing the joy of
completion, the strength of accomplishment.
The choice is clear, to choose stagnation is death,
To ride with the current is life.

Why do you tell me one thing then do another?
Ask me for advice and then shun me?
Your actions speak louder than your words ever will.
You say you need to create some space,
but then you close the gap.
You don't want to be touched, yet you reach out.
This message you are sending is extremely unclear.
Please just be truthful with me and end this frustration, the confusion.
If we could be honest with each other and ourselves,
This storm we are riding through would end.
And we would again be safe and happy once more.

Do not push me aside unless you mean it,
Do not ignore me and expect me not to notice,
If you hurt me or tear me down, I will remember.
Stop showing me that you care and I will turn away
(with tears in my eyes,)
But I live with the knowledge, that if you ever send me away,
I will survive, never to return to your life.

Am I in? Am I out?
Can't live on both planes
Gotta break free from the chains
that hold me between the two.
The decision has been made,
Time to be myself, time to be true to me,
I've made the choice to be free.

A bell rings and sometimes tolls.
A heart beats and sometimes dies.
A tear drops upon a soft cheek,
While its cry is muffled and swallowed
into a deep abyss.
Love is kindled and burns hot.
The flames kissing, licking at the skin,
And then without warning engulfs the body,
And it sufficates it until it is gone.

You are my lover and friend
I will be with you forever, to the end.
Let me hold you close, safe within my arms
Always protecting you frome harm.
Our hearts beating together, as one, in time,
Breath released as a comforting sigh.
I have been blessed to have you now,
Here with me, a part of my life.
And may we be together, always,
Each other's light.
