did you know the average memory span of the common goldfish is less than 4
seconds? so, as they're swimming around that little fake castle in their
bowl, their main thought is "hey wow, a castle....lets see whats on the
other side....hey wow, a castle...lets see whats on the other....hey wow,
a castle....lets see whats on the .....hey look, a castle...hey look a
castle"
i think if i were a goldfish, i would have the dumb luck to be the
goldfish with the 6 second memory...just long enough to figure out that i
wanted OUT of this goddamn bowl and jump out, like Andrew's fish did when
he was 8. (seriously, just CLEARED the bowl!!!...the deja vu got to him, i
guess) anyway, andrew had two goldfish at that time (so they wouldn't,
you know, get lonely, and, face it, with a memory of 4 seconds, you're
ALWAYS meeting new people...)....i imagine the second fish's reaction ran
something along the lines of:
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! what will i ever do without y--hey, wow, a castle!"
