Merry meet!
When I was starting out it was very difficult to find ANYTHING on Wicca, I learned things here and there from various sites, and read books and talked to people. There will be a glossary of terms, and the words in blue will take you there, the words are listed on that page, in alphabetical order (as I didn't want to make a page for EACH word), and I want to get this page up as soon as possible.
Merry part,

Two basic types of Witches:
Those who are in a Coven
and those who are a solitary practicioner

I am a solitary practicioner, so covens are not my strong point. I suggest you do more research if you are interested in joining one. They are basically a group of Wiccans, who gather to celebrate sabbats, and esbats.
I cannot emphasise enough, at the different types of wicca you can choose from. I am ecclectic--which means I choose and pick from other religions, what I think suits me, I believe in faeries, ghosts--almost anything. There is Dianic wicca (which focuses on the Goddess, Diana), Gardner wicca (very traditional), dark fey wicca (which focuses on the self with no dieties), faery wicca (dealing with faeiries), dragon wicca (with dragons) etc. etc. do research and find out what's best for you.

the magick part

Casting a circle:

To worship Them, it is necessary to build a "church" in which to worship them safely, to keep out negative energy, and to keep in our energy until we are ready to release it.
There are many ways to Cast a circle. I prefer a more simple way now, then I did awhile ago.

Circle chant:
"Thrice about the circle is cast, let nothing remain within save that which is in accord with my will and the intent of this rite. This is a place which is not a place, a time that is not a time, between the worlds and beyond, let all bewelcomed who would share in the blessings of this ritual. So mote it be."

While chanting this, take your wand or Athame, whichever you chose, and draw a circle around you on the ground or in the air, clockwise, three times. Or you can stand about where you would imagine the center of your circle will be, and and let power emit from your left hand, see the energy you are releasing, flowing out of your hand and forming as sphere around you...it is also helpful to have your circle clearly outlined with stones, stick incense, a cord or string etc.

After you have cast the circle, you will probably be able to feel it’s presence. If you step outside of it’s boundries, you should feel something (this something is probably different for everyone). In fact, you may want to try doing it, if you’ve never worked with any sort of magick before, to get the feel of it.

After this is it necessary to

Call Quarters:

This is done differently by everyone. Because we are Solitary Practicioners (and not in a "Coven" a group of witches), we do everything by what feels right. And it is the true way of the Solitaire. Every ritual you do can be "borrowed" from someone else, so long as it works best for you.
See the terms page for calling quarters. I don’t use anything fancy (many use specially designed rhymes, many spells are done in rhymes for their magickal impact), I just say: "I call forth the powers of the beings of the *direction here*"
Then you can call apon the Goddess, (if you know a certain goddess or god you want to use, say that name).
Usually the Goddess is called apon by standing with your feet apart, your arms and hands above your head and out a bit, and palms facing outward. The God is done with the arms crossed in front of you almost in the form of an X with the left over the right. (Or I prefer to make "horns" over my head with my hands, because I worship the "Horned God" [ps. Not Satan])
Then you are ready to begin a ritual, to commune, or just to pray in a safe, calm, place.
