A CHERRY MOON

Laying down at night I close my eyes, my reality is forgoing a demise. This world so critical of each mistake, not forgiving for each ones sake And now as I drift off into a heart filled room, I see up with the stars a cherry moon, So red and sweet and tarnished not Pouring kindness on all that was forgot. Spilling its sweetness onto the Milky Way, The stars unleashed what could not stay, For they could not harness the juices that were poured and only a small portion was obscured. The stars kept only enough to sweeten the sky and the rest was poured upon you and I. This cherry moon a facade may it be is the fuel for dreams to see, For it awakens all good thoughts and makes them so real. And every sad moment in reality it surely will heal. The cherry moon consist of hope and love and it's cherry red color reminds of Gods place above, For Jesus shed His blood so that we might live as long as we remember to forgive. This cherry moon is always in the sky even if I cannot see it with my eye. I know that its sweetness shall never run out, Even when I wonder what life is about. Time journeys on as infinite as the stars, While my mind at times imprisons me behind bars. Out in the world seeking personal gain, I have found out will drive you insane, So today I know that happiness must be within, As this cherry moon shows me where I must begin. Jesus is my cherry moon for He shed His blood for me, And if I trust Him I'll be all that I can be. AMEN
