Dubbah's Greatest Shits

Man, Is this guy dumb, or what?

OK, let me first state that I'm no fan of George Bush. I am not a monk. I am not a republican. I am gay. I like to wear a tie every now & then, but the only job that required me to do so was as a shoe salesman, which lasted about 3 weeks in 1990. My most recent mohawk was created on the opening night of "Star Wars: Episode 1". I have done many drugs, although, at the moment, I could pass a wizz quiz (unlike GWB during the time he was my age). I think Tipper is a killer of thought & a category 1 book burner. I think Joe is an opportunistic jerk (& I was raised in Connecticut). All of that said and out of the way, let me tell you why I will vote for Al Gore and no one else.

Saturday October 7 6:48 PM ET Bush Gets Tangled in 'Fuzzy Math,' Then Recovers Reuters Photo By Deborah Zabarenko NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (Reuters) - Republican presidential nominee George W. Bush (news - web sites) got tangled up in ``fuzzy math'' on Saturday as he tried to explain what was wrong with Democratic rival Al Gore (news - web sites)'s tax policy. Bush unleashed the term at last Tuesday's presidential debate to describe Gore's numbers-rich recitations of his fiscal plans, and has gotten applause, cheers and laughter when he has used it during his current campaign swing through the political battlegrounds of the Midwest and Florida. But ``fuzzy math'' managed to seep into Bush's address to about 500 supporters at Hernando-Pasco Community College as he told the crowd that a hypothetical single working mother of two would suffer under the Democratic vice president's program. ``The current tax code, justified by the folks in Washington, if you're a single mother, making $22,000 a year, and say you're trying to raise two children -- one, you're working the hardest job in America ... secondly, for every additional dollar she earns, she pays a higher marginal rate on that dollar than someone making $200,000 a year. ``She starts to lose her earned income tax credit. For the first time she's in the 15 percent bracket. When you add another 15 percent, 16.2 percent payroll tax on top of it plus 2.9 payroll tax and the Medicare tax, 16.4 percent. You end up with a high marginal rate and that's not fair. We're going to do something about it.'' There was a pause, during which the Texas governor leaned away from his microphone and toward his younger brother Jeb, the popular governor of Florida. Those closest to them said the elder Bush appeared to be checking his arithmetic, to see if the numbers were right. Apparently, the answer was no, because the Texan recovered by throwing out random percentages: ``Fifteen-point-three percent. Twelve-point-four. Two-point-nine. I was trying to do some fuzzy math. I used his calculator.'' The crowd gave him a big laugh, relieving him of any need to further clarify his numbers. Bush has proposed an across-the-board tax cut, which Gore has criticized as favoring the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans. Rapping Gore On Medicare Later there was another apparent misstatement, when Bush criticized Gore's plans for Medicare, the federal health insurance plan for the elderly. Reuters Photo ``Vice President Gore does not want our seniors to be able to have the choice that we envision and you know why? Because he liked Hillary-care,'' Bush said, referring to the failed health care reform plans of first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites). ``He wants to nationalize the health care system of America. He wants the doctors making every decision about every patient in this country,'' Bush said. At this point in his stump speech, he generally says the problem is bureaucrats -- not doctors -- making health care decisions. A brotherly rivalry was on display at the event, as the Florida governor introduced George W. as ``the great governor of the second-greatest state in the United States.'' The presidential contender opened by saying he and his wife Laura ``are honored to be here with my little brother. Well, my big little brother.'' On Saturday, the older brother tried out a new term to criticize Gore's plans, saying the vice president wanted to craft ``Gore-gantuan government.'' Jeb and Laura Bush exchanged a look when the new word made its debut. As the popular governor of Florida with its crucial 25 electoral votes, Jeb Bush is in a position to help his brother, and some Republican operatives have privately groused that he could have helped more.

Bored by "fuzzy math"? Here's the sex part. Keep in mind, this is the tart who started the "impeachment" fuzz ball rolling:

Saturday October 7 11:56 AM ET Paula Jones to Pose Nude in Penthouse Magazine Reuters Photo NEW YORK (Reuters) - Paula Jones, whose sexual harassment lawsuit led to President Clinton (news - web sites)'s impeachment by the U.S. House of Representatives, will feature in a nude spread in the magazine, Penthouse, a newspaper reported. The New York Daily News tabloid reported in its Saturday edition the former Arkansas state employee, who once vowed never to pose naked, is to appear in an upcoming issue of the magazine, nude and semi-nude. The story accompanying the photographs is titled, ``Paula Jones Uncovered! She shows all, she tells all: How the Far Right used and abused her to destroy Clinton.'' The News quoted a spokeswoman for the publisher, General Media Communications Inc., as saying ``This is a new and improved Paula Jones...She has a lovely body.'' The newspaper also quoted Susan Carpenter-McMillan, Jones' former adviser as saying she was ``completely vehemently opposed to posing in the nude. ``If it's true...It's the worst thing she could have done. I don't think anyone will approve of it.'' According to the News, the picture spread was shot in California during the Democratic National Convention and will show Jones naked inside and next to a swimming pool. The News also reports that ``at least two pictures...will be full exposure.'' The Penthouse magazine office was closed for the holiday weekend and an operator said a spokesperson would not be available for comment until Tuesday. Clinton was impeached on perjury and obstruction of justice charges, stemming from the Jones lawsuit, in which he gave evasive answers when asked about affairs with other women, including former White House intern Monica Lewinsky (news - web sites). Jones had accused Clinton of sexual harassment while he was governor of Arkansas and she was a state employee.

Sept. 2000

The Texas governor was unaware his microphone was live when he leaned over to his running mate, Dick Cheney (news - web sites), at a Labor Day rally and said: ``There's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times.''
Cheney replied ``Oh yeah, he is, big time.''
Later Bush said he regretted everyone heard his comment but sidestepped a question about whether he would apologize to the journalist.
Bush, who has said on several occasions he wants to change the tone in Washington to one of ``civility and respect,'' was unhappy with a series of articles by Clymer who was critical of his record as governor.

OK, there's the first. Now here's my fave:

``We don't play ball that way. I'm not that clever,''

**

Like I need to expand upon Dubbah's own theory that he's "not that clever", let me offer this:

Even while denying that his campaign was trying to send any secret messages through the advertisements, Bush stumbled over the word subliminal, pronouncing it ``subliminable'' four times

**

For those who might call the media "too liberal", let me tell you that this was in an article (titled "'RATS' Ad Drowns Out Bush Focus on Health Care") posted at 5:40pm. I first read it at about 7 pm. I had to hunt through news searches to find it at 1 am. All signs of George W. Bush, the man running for the presidency of the United States, FOUR TIMES repeating the word "subliminal" as "sublimininable", were erased.

I graduated in 1990. My graduating class is holding a 10th year reunion. If I were to show up, make a speech about how we all "graduateded" ten years ago & spent $1 wrongly using 25 cent words along the way, I'd be the laughingstock of the 25th reunion, not the new class president.

Ralph Nader is an asshole out for his own self-promotion. If you are stupid enough to buy a car with a high center of gravity, and then whine that it flipped on you, then you're an idiot and should vote for Ralph. If you're a smoker & don't realize that inhaling smoke is bad for you, vote for Ralph. If you need to have the latest gadget and aren't willing to be a guinea pig, then vote for Ralph: He'll make sure that nothing new makes it into your inept hands again.
