This is a photo of Carl Clayton, son of the late Charles Leo and Suavilla Isadora (Hulbert) Clayton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 6th Armored Division, 61st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. He was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He is the great uncle of Andrew Clayton.

This is a photo of Charles Warren Clayton, son of the late Charles Leo and Suavilla Isadora (Hulbert) Clayton. Warren served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Fanshaw Bay(CVE 70), sister ship to the USS Nehenta Bay, which Andrew's grandfather Dale Clayton served aboard. He was an SSML 3rd Class. In December 1945, Charles Warren Clayton witnessed the signing of several peace agreements between the U.S. and various Japanese dignataries. These agreements would signal the end of World War II. Two star Admiral Lytch served aboard the Fanshaw Bay. Charles Warren Clayton enlisted in the U.S. Navy on January 5th, 1945. He was honorably discharged July 10, 1946. He stayed in the U.S. Naval Reserves from July 10, 1946 up to and including February 24, 1948. He was discharged from the Navy Reserves and then enlisted in the US Army on February 25, 1948. He retired from the Army on October 1, 1970 at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. His rank in the Army was Chief Warrant Officer W3. Dale and Warren would meet three times while out to sea during World War II. Warren also served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.
