Sometimes I let an experience, smolder for twenty years before it surfaces to be explored in poetry. Sometimes I am triggered immediately. There are times I awake in the middle of the night and dash out twenty lines. At other times, a word, or name, or phrase will circle around my brain, and fatigue, may cause me to 'wait' until dawn, a which time I usually will write a couple of thousand words, in verse in narrative form, about one particular subject. I like to tell a story. I like to tell it with a beat. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- (impression of contemporary poetry) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I very much enjoy the poets who "read" their work. The work though must hold up minus their dramatic input. I feel a rapport with those poets brave enough to experiment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- (zines, etc., that ought to be listed in the dictionary) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am new to the Internet, websites, homepages, computers, etc. I began to explore your world 04/04/00. I am not qualified to make any opinions. I found you by accident. I made up a 'keyword' to see what wouild happen. You did! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- (sample of respondent's poetry) Perhaps later. (feedback about poetry) Not yet. (sample poem by another that the respondent likes) It would seem like an endorsement.
