These four designs were part of an entire line of shirts done for a Myrtle Beach based surf clothing outfit owned by one of the best bosses a guy could ever have! I get mixed feelings looking at 'em though, 'cause a number of the ones I did were commissioned from me while I was still living & dying in Florida, where I'd work from sunrise to sunset in a screen printing sweatshop & then chain myself to my drawing board all night, doing freelance & praying for a chance to escape my ongoing slavery from my own private pharaoh in a tropical, crime ridden, depression stepped Egypt known as St. Petersburg. On the flipside, a few of these pieces were some of the first ones that I ever rendered on the mighty mighty Macintosh platform, which by itself is an awesome thing, & also, surf art is also where one of my few mentors & idols started his legendary career before becoming the master of the 60's psychedelic poster movement, that being the late Rick Griffin,...
