in depth look at poem: This poem was written during a daily 1 hour prayer time that I was part of. My dad started a prayer time each morning in the chapel from 6 to 7 am every morning, so I went with him for about 6 months or so. The Lord really blessed me a lot. It was an amazing experience. This poem is about that time in the morning.


this time

Lord you gave me this time
to refresh my weary spirit
to come to you as a child

Lord you gave me this time
to help me live like you
to give me strength

Lord you gave me this time
to get a touch from you
to revive my shattered heart

Lord you gave me this time
to come into your presence
to do a mighty work in me

Lord you gave me this time
to take away my worries
to bring revival's fire

Lord you gave me this time
to honor and praise you
to show the world who you are

Lord you gave me this time
to pray for my friends
to show you my love
