in depth look at poem: This is simply another poem about the state of the country of America. I wrote it when I was in the 9th or 10th grade. (before the other ones about the country)


America

America, you were once so powerful and mighty
all other nations feared and respected you
simply because you trusted in God for your strength
the saying IN GOD WE TRUST was then so true

When I look around today things really have
changed a lot since way back then
teens having babies, commiting suicide
and other horrors of such terrible sin

REPENT, America go back to the Lord God Almighty
you can have a nation strong and life eternal
if you don't repent you'll burn in hell forever
and there you'll blast open, like a popcorn kernal.
