rhyming suicide

I am just a stupid bum
I search for a feast, but find only a crumb
I am just a stupid rat
I search for love, but get hit with a bat
I am just a stupid bum
I search for music, but find only a hum
I am just a stupid rat
I search for cheese, but find only the cat

I am just a dumb idiot
I search for a hug, but instead I get hit
I am only a dumb snake
I search for peace, but get hit with a rake
I am just a dumb idiot
I search for higher ground, but land in a pit
I am just a dumb snake
I search for dry ground, but land in a lake
