Okay, When asked in my first semester drawing class at Emily Carr to do a self portrait
I figured I'd be good at doing something along the lines of a comic book, which would, (a)be fun for me, (b)be easy for me to do fast, (c)be a good way for me to talk about my life at length. So I ended up spending most of the 3 months working on this one comic and egnoring all the other, more technical projects. Weener Girl ended up being something like a 25 page tomb, and the only people who actually got to read it were my teacher, my best friend at Emily Carr, and the boy I had just met who became my boyfriend. I went so bloody personal in the comic, I felt it was WAYY to personal for people close to me to see...but not for strangers. People who never knew me before when the things in the comic were happening were okay to see it, I felt. The drawings actually were not that good, but I got an A-minus.
