Breathing & Visualization

Exercises and magical Techniques
Breathing:
You do it all the time right? Why should you even bother to think about it?
because it can be a great tool for disciplining our bodies and entering alternate states of consciousness.
Hey everyone could use a little "alternate state of conciousness" once in awhile right?
When you meditate sit with your back straight (or lie down), and breathe with your lungs as well
as your diaphram (located about 2 finger widths below the navel). As you breathe in
push out with this region. Relax your body slightly. Inhale through the nose and
count slowly to three four or five--whatever is comfortable.
repeat this several times, gradually slowing your breath rate. Make it controlled, but not
uncomfortable. It should be calm, free of tension.

visualization:
1. sit or lie comfortable with eyes shut. Relax. Breathe deeply and still your mind. Pictures will continue to pop
into your head. Choose one of these and stick with it. Retain this picture for as long as possible.
2.Decide upon an image to hold and retain it within your mind. You should probably have something
physically present and study it first, memorizing each detail. Then close you eyes and see teh object
as if your eyes were open and looking at it. When you can hold this image perfectly for about five minutes move on.
3.Visualize something, anything, but something you've never seen before. For instance, use a fruit.
It's pink, square, as big as a softball, and covered with little green hairs, and tiny yellow dots. (just
an example). Close your eyes and see--really see this fruit in your mind. Make it real, turn
it over in your mind and see it from all angles. When you can hold that for about five minutes move on.
4.Lastly, hold a self-created image (like the fruit) in your mind with your eyes open. Make it so real you can touch it.
and be able to see that image anywhere. Once you can do this, things get easier. Once you can make something
visable (even in the magical world) you can work with it..
