  This site has some good basic background graphics and a color table, which will give you color codes.
• Sizzling HTML Jalfrezi
  Simply the best html help site I've ever used. Anything I haven't figured out in the 3.5 years of writing HTML has been here. It's indexed and everythang!
• Yale's Web Style Guide
  If you have a tendency towards wild awful web pages and your friends look at yours and wince, you NEED this page!
• Web Pages that Suck
  If you have no idea what awful looks like, go here. This guy will lay it out for you. Please don't go the way of the artsy tortured black background with a mondo graphic...this guy will explain why not!

• Land of Enchantment
  This has a lot of interesting fairy/fantasy/medieval/ graphics. Some can be adapted for backgrounds even...wow, what a concept!

  This gal does some really interesting wild looking graphics.
• John's Background page
  He's got a lot of the standard backgrounds that you see everywhere, but has tried to pick the best of the lot.
• Dr. Zeus' textures
  This guy only has about six backgrounds but they are homemade and wild and interesting, so I included them.
• Patternland
  This has some good stuff, though this guy is apparently overly obsessed with plaid. You have to weed through it some, but some of these are gorgeous.
• Infinite Fish Textures
  This guy's stuff is available for free if you're not a commercial entity. This is positively the best stuff I've ever seen. I'm in abject adoration of this guy's art. This site allows you to click on a background tile it and then see various text colors on it. Very slick. (Down side...takes a million years to load)
• Pambyte's free web stuff
  She's got some of everything you'd ever need here: background tiles, buttons, banner, clipart, etc. I like her embossed tiles. They are tame, but very spiffy.
• Graphics Galore
  She's got a list of links to graphics sites. Some are good links, some suck. Some of the stuff she points to is kind of cutesy, other stuff is really cool.
• Clipart Sources
  A very comprehensive list of clipart of all kinds. Some are good, some suck. Take what you can use and disregard the rest.
• Bells and Whistles
  This place has some really spiffy animations and generalized graphics.
