![]() November15, 2001 The other thing is that lately, I've been monitoring my sugars and I've had some pretty substantial lows. How many type 2 diabetics wake up with a morning sugar of 77? That's what I had this morning. One morning, a few hours after breakfast, I did my sugars and about fell off my chair when they were around 85. I checked them an hour later and they were 65, but fortunately it was lunchtime, so I ate and all was well. I keep wondering if my diabetes is improving because of my weight loss or if I'm starting to suffer from hyperinsulinism -- too much insulin, or if I should just stop freaking the *french* out. I'm seeing my doctor this morning, so I'm going to ask him. I am also going to ask about whether or not I should maybe get a new sugar tester. I don't know how long these glucometers are supposed to be good for, but it's been over 2 years, so I should think it might be time. I did make sure that my testing strips were current and everything, but it's just kind of weird to be worrying about low versus high sugars. The flu and the asthma combo have been sucking serious green mucous wang, and this morning was really hard to get up. I'm just so exhausted. Nothing like a lot of heavy breathing and wheezing and coughing for exercise. I tell ya. I'm off to wheeze at my doctor. I currently have the voice of a 90 year old hag with emphysema. And I've got the phlegm to prove it, too. So, wanna be my friend? |
