THE DOLLAR VS. THE MARK

5/98. Don't get excited...its only worth $28.11. Here are some interesting facts about the German currency:
* When it is written, it appears as DM 50 with no dollar sign.
* DM refers to Deutsche Mark just like the $ refers to the U.S. dollar.
* When it is not an even mark amount, it is written DM 50,25
(notice the comma instead of the period).
* The Deutsch Mark is always capitalized.
* The larger the denomination, the larger the size of the bill...makes sense!
