The WET images for this week were the Mona Lisa, an Amsterdam scene, and a lovely? dalmation (who looks a lot like Creepy Clown; I think it's the nose.)
I decided to frame the Mona Lisa in a custom frame. The leather portion (uh, oh) is the gift of the dog. The outer ornate golden worked metal is recycled from the window of the church in Amsterdam.
For this project, I created textures: a 4-fold symmetry image from a portion of the dog's skin and a simple symmetrical image from a part of the window.
I then started with a cropped version of Mona Lisa, added borders and drop shadows, filled the two textured areas using pattern fill, did some color adjustment a couple of times, buttonized at two different points, then saved as psp, then .jpg at 10% compression.
As always, this image was done entirely in PSP5. I knew what effects I was going for. The trickiest part was adjusting my border widths and fill image sizes so that the designs filled in a balanced manner.
