WET 65: Charms!

Well, it's a first. I actually used PSP 6 instead of PSP 5 for this, because of the effects I wanted.

This is a special mother's charm bracelet he had made for her special for their 15th anniversary. Since it was depression times, and money was dear, he couldn't afford pure gold or silver, but these plated charms are treasured anyway. The tricycle celebrates the birth of their oldest boy, Billy. The horse represents Johnny, the son born 2 years later, and the buggy stands for their precious little girl, Sarah. The angel stands guard over the twin babies that were too fragile for this earth, their precious little souls now in heaven.

The image was made using various sculpture and texture effects, inner and outer beveling, and drop shadowing. The "bracelet" took the longest to make. I made several separate varied ellipses for individual links, sculptured them, placed many copies of them (some rotated to different degrees) on 4 different layers, then used the eraser to help "hook" them together.

Everything on this page was done in Paint Shop Pro 6 for the first time for any of my WETs, using only the original filters and functions supplied with the program.

This is a smaller version of the original layered images posted for us to use. Thank you!
