TWO-BIDS
- 2C = More quick tricks than losers. If balanced, 24+. If unbalanced, 17+. Never a two-suiter. (side four card suits, ok)
- (alert) 2D response = POSITIVE (alert)
- 2D = 10-13 HCP with three suits. (4-4-4-1 or 5-4-4-0)
- (alert) New Suit = Non-forcing (alert). 2NT Forcing
- 2H = 8-12 HCP with 6-card suit, maybe 5 in 3rd and 4th seat.
- 2NT Force. (alert) New Suit = Non-forcing (alert)
- 2S = 8-12 HCP with 6-card suit, maybe 5 in 3rd and 4th seat.
- 2NT Force. (alert) New Suit = Non-forcing (alert)
OTHER CONVENTIONAL CALLS
SPECIAL DOUBLES
- (alert) Positive Doubles (alert) Responder's double shows 9+ HCP in a balanced hand, implies no fit.
- (alert) Support Doubles (alert) through 2H (3-card support shown), including after we overcall at the 1 level.
- (alert) Action Doubles (alert) at the two level (don't let them steal)
- (alert) Maximal Doubles (alert) at the three level (we might have a game)
- (alert) Power Doubles (alert) A direct double of opener's bid shows 15+ HCP, with at least two cards in opener's suit, in a balanced hand.
