presenting...r. crumb in all his deranged glory!

Who could forget the paranoia of Kafka. . .

..The freakazoid known as Devil Girl. . .

...Those adorable bearzie wearzies. . .

The infamous & certifiable Mr. Natural . . ..

...and these are only a handful of the characters this demented sunovabitch has been creating since the sixties, which is why he's considered by many to be the most prolific & famous underground cartoonist of all time. Most of his shit is x-rated, which makes it even better. At the beginning, there was ZAP comix, and then Despair, Motor City, Big Ass Comics, Home Grown Funnies, Your Hytone comics, etc., etc., all published underground.(WAY underground.)Then the mainstream found out about him and published Head Comix and FRITZ THE CAT....Remember the movie? He hated it. Turned down millions rather than see more of his work debased. Then in the 80's he did the Weirdo Anthology Magazine & Hup comix. There was an r. crumb documentary too, in '95, directed by Terry Zwigoff called Crumb. Helluva sick movie. I loved it a lot. Remember the Keep on Truckin' poster? That's Crumb. Plus he did the cover for Cheap Thrills, the Janis & Big Brother album. I hear he doesn't smoke weed anymore, he lives in France now (not that he can't get it there), and he's got a new comic now called MYSTIC FUNNIES that came out in December 1997. I'll give ya a link later on so you can buy it if ya want. Lemme show ya something from that comic, along with a cool portrait he did of himself....C'mon.......
