Do you want your book edited? Do you have problems with punctuation, grammar, finding the right word?
Correcting an endless succession of elementary technical mistakes takes me a lot of time, and therefore I will have to charge more for working with you.
You can save money by learning the priciples first. Having done the course, you can revise the book yourself, then have me edit it for the important aspects: plot, characterization, description, expression.
What does it involve?
You send me a sample of writing, about 3000 words in length. Select the best piece of prose you are currently capable of, but one which has had no helpful feedback from others.
I will identify your problem areas, and give you principles to follow.
You then apply these principles to revise and correct a second text passage of about 3000 words, and send this to me. I will line edit this too, and clear up any remaining problems.
How much does it cost?
$50 (US dollars). Once you have competed this course, I will edit your book for $200 (up to 100,000 words, may have to be higher for academic writing with its complexities).
In contrast, I will have to charge $400 for the same book if it is full of elementary technical mistakes. Repeating essentially the same comment, on page after page, is deadly boring for me, and HARD WORK.
Technicalities
Send your work in RTF format, as an email attachment. (The problem with DOC format is that different versions of Word misread each other's formatting instructions.) Have the document single spaced, in 12 point Times New Roman font.
