She was born in Santo Domingo. She studied Political Sciences and Sociology at Universidad Autónoma of Santo Domingo. She writes poetry, essays and narrative.
In 1996 her novel "He olvidado tu nombre" won the International Novel Prize "Casa de Teatro", this novel was published by Casa de Teatro.
In 1985 she published two works of poetry, "20th Century (aún sin título en español)", and "Transparencias de mi espejo". Ten years later, in 995, she published another book of poems, "Geometría del Vértigo". She is finishing one novel: "Este mar me recuerda algún jardín", and other book of poems: "Caligrafía del amor antiguo". Her poetry has been included in different anthologies of contemporary Dominican poetry.
Her articles, essays and interviews used to be plublished in national and foreign newspapers. In "Listí Diario", she publishes a column every week ("Enemigo Rumor") in the editorial section. She is also member of the Editorial Council of "Umbral" magazine, published by the Presidencial Council of Culture of Dominican Republic.
