Kiss On The Bridge

held firmly between my sweaty palms
caressing her smooth contours
she delicately licks my fingertips
I twitch with excitement
staring into her soul
waiting for my eternal slide
rubbing my hands down her spine
fingering to my heart's content
plug myself in
she wails
sweet and rhythmic chorus

Home Is Where the Gun Is

As he sits there drowning in letters
from his gal back home,
pictures of Mom and Dad
and Tony's, his best pal's thumb
a lonely tear falls upon his medal of honor and bravery
that once gave him pride.
Bullet butterflies fly across
his star bloodied banner that lay along his breast,
so innocently
but the rockets red flare light up the murderous sky
and the bombs burst in air crushing the stars
but the flag is no longer there to shield
his malicious actions that are justified by his
trigger finger.
Screams of the innocent fill the thick air
while the guilty die silently,
holding their steel teddy bear against
their lead filled chest with their remaining arm,
little blue eyed Vietnamese bastards
scurry across the play ground to gather
their father's eye that is lodged in the hands
of his murderer.
The soldiers march back to defend the empty tent
of their General who drives away in his jeep
as the bloodstained trees shrink away
in his rear view mirror
But he sits in the trenches,
trying to remember what love felt like
while rubbing his warm gun along the Crucifix
that once protected him from what he has become.

Hoping the words
I wish I could say,
won't slip away
unheard, or even overlooked

Sometimes,
Knowing I'm here and you're there,
To me that 's too far apart.
But I try and pretend not to care.

In the morning
when the sun
is just starting to light the day
I am awakened
and my first thoughts are of you

At night
I stare at the dark trees
silhouetted against the quiet stars
I am entranced into a complete peacefulness
and my last thoughts are of you

My sun rises with your smile
but freezes with your tears
My dreams lie in your laughter
and die in your fears

I stare at the look in your eyes
Wishing to be in your thoughts
I dream of holding on to you
Even if it's only holding on to your fingertips
I love your devilish smile,
It lights my day
When I'm around you,
You light my way

I lose myself in your deep brown eyes
Never to be found,
They welcome my dreams
and my sorrows they drown

I have finally completed one of my dreams
Heaven is a kiss from your lips,
one touch from you, becomes an extreme
Bliss !
Hopefully one day I'm the one
You wish only to kiss
