Tim Bellows
Tim Bellows, now teaching writing at Sierra College in Northern California, holds
a graduate degree from the Iowa writing program and continues to string words together
and publish around the country. His poems appear in the Desert Wood anthology
(University of Nevada Press), two issues of Midwest Quarterly, three issues of Modern Haiku,
and over thirty other periodicals such as Interim, Embers, Wisconsin Review, Damaged Wine,
The Small Pond Magazine, Portlandia Review, South Coast Poetry Journal, Phoebe, CQ, and
Potomac Review.
The mystical poet Rumi (thirteenth century) fascinates him - along with
Spanish and Chinese poets. With his wife Marian he lives near the
American River, working on love, hiking, cycling—and Dreams of Long Grasses (poems)
and Toolroom for Dreamers (collected essays on the writer's creative process).
