Friends. What is the Internet without "friends"? In the short time that I've been "caught in the Net", I've made some wonderful friends. Some have become closer to me than others, but ALL are friends. In this particular section of "Caught in the Net", I will be displaying photos of my friends, and relating how we met. These photos have been re-printed with the permission of my friends (thanks, guys!).
Come. Meet my friends....
The month? June, I think. The sound? The clucking of chickens--THOUSANDS of chickens. CHICKENS?! Yes. You see that photo? The one above? That's Curtis, also known as The Mighty Cedrick. Curtis has a site and a webring devoted to chickens. Yes, chickens.
I met Curtis sometime in June (1997). He had e-mailed me telling me that he thought my "Soose" site would fit perfectly in his webring of "unusual" sites. I never thought about it before, but I guess "Soose" is rather "unusual". I have never seen any other site quite like it before, or since, since its inception. So, I agreed to join his webring, which by the way, is called "Cedrick's Coop" (as in "chicken").
Upon viewing my site for acceptance into the webring, Curtis discovered that "Soose" offered a "Soose Award". After "groveling" in a VERY humorous e-mail (you just HAD to read it to believe it!), he naturally got the "Soose Award". I still chuckle everytime I think of that e-mail!
Of course, since then there have been other e-mails--some just as humorous as the "Soose Award" request. The latest is his wonderfully funny request to be a guest on "Soose". Perhaps one of these days, Curtis will let me share some of his e-mails with you. He really DOES have a marvelous sense of humor!
