Felicity's Forum for Fun
August 1999
Who is Felicity? Felicity,
who has had this website record her life from the age of two, is a now
four and a half year old New Zealander. If you've been here before,
you'll notice that this page has changed. As well as a new link or
two, there is also a new story by Felicity's Mummy. And all of the
graphics on this page were created by Felicity, for the first time ever!
(If you miss the old page, you can still see it here,
and the one before that: here)

Kia ora.
Ko Felicity ahau.
Hello. I am Felicity.
Felicity lives in a small town in the
North Island of New Zealand. She is fast growing up, and since next year
she will be at school, every moment with her is treasured. This year
she has discovered Madeline.
She has also taken lessons in swimming, and
ballet - she looks adorable in her dancing gear.
Felicity likes growing sunflowers and last season
she harvested the seeds and stapled up some handdrawn seed packets which
she filled and gave to her friends.
Felicity is half maori on her father's side
and half pakeha (caucasion) on her mother's side.

Web Graphics

aged four and a half
Yes, it had
to happen. Felicity is learning Coreldraw. She is also creating
web graphics by scanning in her own drawings and adding colour. Some of
her favourite things to draw are Madeline, angels and fairies, her cat
Walter, her koala bear and other assorted toys, and our house. All
graphics on this page by Felicity.
Felicity's
Keith Haring Workshop
In May, Felicity
was lucky enough to participate in two of the Keith
Haring Workshops that the Wellington
City Gallery put on for children. This coincided with the visiting
Keith Haring exhibition which we went to many times. (Keith Haring
was a New York artist who died in 1990. He was especially good at
working with kids.) Felicity
learned to draw barking dogs and made a flip book and a mobile. She
loves Keith's work, and can recognise it at 200 paces. Below is Felicity's
adaption of a Keith Haring barking dog. Her voice was also heard
on Radio New Zealand's Checkpoint programme that evening. When she
was asked by the interviewer why she liked Keith Haring's work, she replied
"It's nice. I like the one where the dog jumps through the man's
tummy."
