"So, you're an alien?"
"No, I'm your girlfriend."
It was silent again. They looked at each other, trying to figure out just what to do with me. I began to hate that humans weren't born with the ability of telepathy.
Tabitha broke the silence.
"So, do you want to come with us?"
"Where?"
"Home."
"Tabitha, alien goddess... whatever, you know I would have followed you to the ends of the earth, but a galaxy?"
"Well, actually, we're from a different universe but that's not important."
"Another universe?"
"Yes, but we'd be there before you knew it."
"But where exactly is there?"
"About three billion light years away."
Cynthia interjects.
"Roughly."
"O.K. When would we be leaving? That is, assuming that I'm thinking about maybe going."
Tabitha smiled.
"Remember, we can read your mind."
"Right. So you know how much I want to go. When would we leave?"
"How does, uh, within 15 minutes sound?"
"That doesn't leave me a whole lot of time to pack... I mean, what do you take to another universe? Am I going to need a power adapter for my Walkman and electric razor?"
This made them both laugh.
"It'll all be taken care of. We can get new things for you or we can have your stuff sent to us."
"Sent to us?"
"We're everywhere, remember that."
"I guess so."
"So, do you still want to come?"
"Well, what would I do? I assume I'd be the only human. Or did you guys take Elvis and Hoffa?"
"You won't be the only human there. But we can't take responsibility for those two."
"But you have kidnapped humans?"
"They went of their own free will."
"If your race all looked like you, I could see why."
She was radiant. My resolve was quickly dissolving. Why not go with two amazing alien girls... I've always loved aliens. You only live once.
"Isn't he cute?" She said smiling and gesturing for Cynthia to come closer.
At that moment the thought of wild alien sex went through my head and before I could quelch it, both of them began to giggle.
"Intrigued by a little alien menage-a-trois?" Cynthia asked.
"Well, the thought is awfully appealing. I mean, what exactly do you do in bed?"
"Simon, let's just say it's something best experienced."
"Will I be that lucky?"
"We've discussed it..." Cynthia said, trailing off, lost in her thoughts.
"That all depends on you, Tiger."
Tabby leaned over and kissed me with such passion, I thought my knees would buckle.
"Am I going to have to leave you two alone?" Cynthia asked.
We broke off the kiss, although it could have lasted a lot longer.
"No. But who's gonna drive? I don't think we can walk there..."
"Our ride should be here in about two minutes" Tabitha said.
"So, is this like mom and pop coming to pick you up from the mall?"
"No, the craft is computerized. It's on autopilot. Are you planning on getting frisky on the ship?"
"Let's just say I'm feeling frisky right now. I'm like a puppy for your love."
"No Dave Matthews quotes please. But I appreciate the gesture."
Our eyes met and for the first time, I understood it all. For a moment, I even saw some of her thoughts. They we're the most intense minty-fresh blast of pure deliciousness. I shivered but never lost that feeling.
"Exactly how long is this trip going to take, in standard time."
"About two days. Excited?"
"To be on an unmanned space ship hurtling towards a new universe, with two amazing alien girls and the temptation of the most intense pleasure in the world? I mean, come on. These things happen to me everyday. But why take me with you?"
"Why do you think I came to Earth in the first place?" asked Tabby.
"To pick up some cute boy from New Mexico? Isn't there a more noble cause, like saving your planet or needing human specimens for experiments?"
"No, we just need boys. Cute ones."
Cynthia added.
"Very cute ones."
"I'm your boy. Wrap me up with a big red ribbon and I'm ready to go."
"Speaking of which, here comes the ship."
I could see some lights off in the distance coming closer. Tabitha started undressing.
"We need you to take off your clothes for medical purposes."
Tabby said it with just enough seriousness in her voice to make me do it immediately but I knew it wasn't absolutely necessary. Yet I was happy to oblige as the lights came directly overhead.
Tabitha moved towards me, and we embraced. In the last moments before we disappeared, she spoke.
"We just needed boys. Cute boys."
And we kissed as the light took us to her home, somewhere in the stars.
