Nature's Give and Take

A poem by

Take the time today to taste the cool morn' air.
Hesitate for a second, stop and feel the breeze so fair.
Look about in wonder at all there is to see.
Gaze upon the world around you, it is there for free.

It won't cause your purse to stretch its limits,
nor take up too much of your time,
It only takes but just a minute
to see Mother Earth in her sweet sublime.

Watch a blade of grass take on its own life,
or the shifting of the pine cones overhead,
Watch the sparrow forage in nature's strife,
and the robins weave their nesting bed.

Stop a moment, enjoy our world,
there is so much to see.
Protect it, nourish it,
give something back..Plant a tree.
