El Seven! Dis here's one o mah favoreyte bahnds! ah luv L7. This is another one of those bands that I love and everyone else hates. I don't understand this either! They're so amazingly fun, and real! You've got the spice Girls, who say they're all girl power, and be yourself, when, all they sing about is guys and love, and everybody knows they were spawned as a corporate merchandizing campaign. They've got a message? what message. anyway, all you have to do is look at L7 to see what they are. A couple of regular run of the mill 20 year olds, with regular womanly problems and lives, who conveniently were at the front lines of the riot grrl movement. They managed to spawn a kick ass hard-rock-metal-growly-punkish band with lyrics that cry REAL grrl power! they're moshin' drinkin' ass kickin' birkenstock wearing girls with a charming sense of humor. I pledge my alleigence to L7, and their three groovy LP's, Hungry for Stink, Bricks are Heavy, and The Beauty Process:Triple Platinum. It's kind of weird though, because I have this thing against feminism....Well, who said L7 were feminists? I never said that.
