My Sloan. This is yet another band that I love, and nearly everyone else hates! Lets see, L7, Duran Duran, Sloan....most of my friends hate all of those bands...and Korn, too! ech. Oh well, I know there's people out there that like them!! Otherwise, there wouldn't be sites out there for me to steal pictures from! HAHAHhaaaaa!!! anyway, I love Sloan, because they're fun! They're not Fluffy, but they're real! They're a bunch of partially nerdy guys from Nova Scotia, of all places, and they sing really really nice songs that make you feel good. They all sing and write the songs, so there's no real frontman, (unless you count Chris Murphy, who's so talkative and funny, and can't keep his hands off the mic, so, he gets alot of attention and media coveradge.) SO, because they have four singers, they have beutiful harmonys, like in "Loosens" and some really rocking songs too, like "The Good in Everyone" and their new single, "Money City Maniacs". Some of them are just plain fun, like "Penpals", or "Underwhelmed". Everything they've done, I've loved. They won't leave you underwhelmed. (That sounds so Cheesey!!! ick!)
