Bio

Jon Fernquest works for the Bangkok Post newspaper in the education department. He counts Chiangrai in northern Thailand as his home with his wife, mother-in-law, and nine dogs (Eight Shih-Tzu's: Buk Bik, Nong Fah, Buk Bui, Kuk Kik, Nong Fang, Nong Som, Ai Fu Fu, Ai Ping Pong; One German Shepherd: Bingo).

His hobbies include writing, running, computational linguistics, Perl, Python, Prolog, finite state machines, linear logic, critical Burmese writers like Journalgyaw Ma Ma Lei, U Nu, Thein Pei Myint, as well as the Burmese Historical chronicle "U Kala Mahayazawingyi."
