AYN RAND [aka ALICE ROSENBUAM]: (1905-1982)

Russian-born US writer. Her "objectivist" philosophy, individualistic, egoistic and capitalist in inspiration, is at the core of such successful novels as The Fountainhead(1943) and Atlas Shrugged (1957).
