Death of William Gordon Uttley

On Thursday, the 21st inst, a fatal accident befell Gordon Uttley son of J.H. Uttley, at the latter's farm near the Gopher Head. It appears the deceased was riding a colt from the watering trough to the barn when the animal bolted throwing young Uttley, who however held on to the halter shank and was badly kicked and trampled upon. The injuries proved fatal the next day and on Saturday the deceased was buried in Stettler Cemetery. ------ The Stettler Independent August 28, 1913
