The Spiders Den

The Spiders Den

"Once upon a time, in a period far removed from the memory of our mind; their lived a very ugly spider. The appearance of this spider was among the most horrid in all the lands. She was so dreadful to behold that all creatures fled at her sight. With each passing day, the ugly spider grew more lonely and despondent for she never had any friends or visitors. One day, she had an idea:

"I will create something so beautiful and magnificient to behold that all beings who view it will come under its spell. Those who are inspired to contemplate my wondrous creation will enter into friendship with me and become my guest. I will counsel and reveal to them what they need to know in order to live a full and meaningful life." Unveiled by the rays of the new-born sun, there stood an image never before created: A circular web weaved from a delicate thread. The ugly spider marveled at the sight. In extreme exhaustion and weary from her labor, she circled around the perimeter of the web and moving towards its center; the ugly spider fell asleep and died. Immediately and all around the world, spiders began constructing their own webs of varying shapes and sizes in lieu of this first creative leap. This is how the spiders web came into existence."
