After reading an article on Miss Lisa Carver in Details Magazine, I was compelled to pick up a copy of her book, Dancing Queen, due to her originality, sense-of-humor, and overall personality. Boy, am I glad I did! Dancing Queen is basically Carver's commentary on the American culture and it kicks! Topics range from white trash to "losing it" to a life changing visit to the hairdresser to Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan (whom she lovingly calls the Rat Fink and Princess Horsie, respectively.) Also, she relates everything to SEX! You think you are the only one with a sick mind until you read this book, then you realize that she feels the same way you do about everything, that the world is full of SEXUAL INNUENDOES! Oh yes, even Lawrence Welk's show was impure. Don't believe me, pick up the book! Even people who don't relate everything to sex will enjoy this...her witty commentary on American life will please even the most jaded reader (yes, you, the one in disbelief). Don't feel like spending $12 on a book you haven't read...sample "Dancing Queen" by clicking
