Everywhere life is full of heroism…. |
There
are millions of Heroes in this world. Everyone has their own personal
hero, and I am no different.
Terry
Fox is mine.
Not
that there aren’t any others that I admire, but, he became a hero while
I was watching. I, along with the rest of Canada watched Terry run. We
cheered him on, gasped when he had to stop his Marathon of Hope, and cried,
when he died.
His
dream was to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He didn't
make it, cancer claimed him as its victim. But in his memory, we still
run every year, to raise money. Thanks to Terry, we run as one nation,
united in a single cause: To HELP, for change, not to hinder. He not only
brought us together, but he gave us the realization, If you aim high
enough, it will work, somehow.

following are links to sites where you can read about this young man, a
true hero in every sense of the word.
