HOTEL INFO!!!!
This is the list of the hotels that I have checked out and the rates. Most of these are going at a group rate of at least 10 rooms. Unfortunately, there is no shuttle service available at the hotels, but you can get a shuttle for $5 from the airport to a hotel or a taxi is like $15 or $20. Otherwise, if I know when you are to arrive, I can always pick up some of you. *S* I have not looked into each and every casino yet, just been a few of them so far.
Now for those of you who may be across the pond in the UK or such, you can get great package deals with airfare and hotel accommodations all included, please do check out Virgin Holiday or Jetlife sites online. *S*
This list is not in alphabetical order but rather in the order on the strip, i would love it if we all can be in the center of the strip so it makes it easier to go toodling around.
I got word that you DO want to book this as soon as possible as well, especially if we are not able to get enough rooms rented because the prices will go up the longer we take to book it. Also there are several conventions going on and one is a city-wide convention and so many hotels are booked solid. Please book a room as soon as you are able to!!!
Here's the list!!
These numbers are PER NIGHT, and most are based on double occupancy, so find a roommate and split the cost!! *S* Also most of these are based on us reserving 10+ rooms there.
- Stratosphere:
- $79 - for older tower
- $89---for newer part of the tower.
- At the end of the strip, great buffet, great ride to sling you to the top and best view of Vegas. This is on the very end of the strip, FAR from the rest of things.
- CircusCircus:
- $84 - in the tower with all the fun/shops/restaurants
- $74 - in the Manor, 3 story buildings out back (see above report)
- This is also a bit on the one end and away from stuff.
- Stardust:
- $100 (based on us reserving 15 + rooms)
- This is where the BondCon Fetish Convention was at, nice hotel, very old and where Wayne Newton is always at. This hotel is right next to CircusCircus and is again on the other side of construction.
- Sahara:
- $69.00 (based on 10 + plus rooms and if we don't get that many she said she would still lower the rate but i don't know by how much)
- This is one of the older hotels and is across the street from the ones above, they seem to have a pretty good deal but it is a bit far from where i would like us to be and i have not seen the rooms yet.
- Algiers
- I haven't heard back from them yet.
- Riviera:
- BOOKED SOLID for the Pool Billiard Tourney
- Westward Ho
- $50.90 first night, $46.90 second night.
- These rooms are some of the cheapest, but the hotel rooms I can not say what they look like. They have limited space available.
- The Venetian
- $279 per night
- This is right across from Treasure Island is one of the newer and more gorgeous hotels!! Complete with gondola rides out front!!
- Harrahs
- $125 a night based on 10 + rooms, need a cc to hold all the rooms
- The Mirage
- $179 first night, $199 second night
- This hotel is right next to Treasure Island, can take a tram between the two. They have white tigers you can see on display as well as the Magicians, Sigfried and Roy are here!! Beautiful hotel, has it's own volcano that erupts every now and then.
- The Imperial Palace
- They said they are booked solid for that weekend as they have the whole Golf Tournament and Money Show people there.
- Caesars Palace
- BOOKED SOLID for the City Wide Convention of ICSC
- The Flamingo
- $117 a night
- This hotel has the Amazing Jonathan and where Gladys Knight plays.
- Barbary Coast
- $109 a night.
- The Bellagio
- $299 first night, $499 the 2nd night
- This is one of the most expensive hotels to stay at but the most beautiful.
- Bally's
- $135 a night
- Paris
- $162 a night
- Aladdin
- $169 a night, $199 2nd night
- Orleans
- $99 a night based on 10+
- This is a beautiful new hotel but about a mile away from the strip, they do have a shuttle but it stops running at midnight.
- Gold Coast
- This hotel needed 20 + for group rates and I don't know if we will have that many rooms to rent??
- Rio
- $209 a night
- MGM
- $160 a night
- NYNY
- $129 a night (for 80 more, a jacuzzi suite!)
- This hotel has the famous bar, Coyote Ugly from the movie!!
- Treasure Island
- $129 a night.
- This hotel is centrally located on the strip and has a tram to the Mirage and is across the street from The Venetian. They have an open free street show complete with pirates, cannons and all. This is also a newer hotel and is one of the more nicer looking ones.
This is as far as I've gotten on the list of famous hotels on the Vegas strip. I know that most wanted to stay at an adult hotel and not too kiddish, and yet not too expensive nor one too cheap where your bed is bowed and.......uumm......well, we won't talk of the shower/potty dealie from Niagara Falls. *cough cough*
SO....
i would recommend Treasure Island and that is where I am gonna stay at as it is centrally located, on the corner, and easy to get to and you can't miss it with the street show out front. Not only that, but for the money, you have a really nice hotel room as you all can see. Now, if it is too expensive for your blood, please do check out the other hotels! *S*
BUT PLEASE BOOK YOUR ROOM NOW OR ASAP!!!!
i can not stress that enough, due to the conventions and Vegas is always a hip-happening place especially on the weekends, you want to get your rooms in while you can. Now all those I have called were based on group sales, you may or not be able to get in there on your own and cheaper or more expensive depending on the hotel.
MAPS and Miscellaneous Info
Here are some maps to show you where all of them are located at on the strip to the other:
I'll try to get a better map scanned as i am having trouble doing so for some reason with the one i do have. Once i get it, i'll put up a link for it here.
If anyone has any q's or if they would like to me personally go peek at the rooms at a hotel, please do drop me a note in my box here at Fan's or email me at: zephyrwind@hotmail.com.
Tentative Itinerary!!!
- Friday
- 5 pm: Meet 'n' Greet in Fan's room at Treasure Island
- 7 pm: Buffet
- 10 pm: Head to Coyote Ugly Bar at NYNY Casino and/or on your own afterwards *S
- Saturday
- 11/12: Meet for lunch (have not figured out where yet)
- 4:30/5pm: Meet for a Wine Tasting
- 6:30/7 pm: Dinner at a restaurant near the locale of the tasting and hopefully after this, catch a comedy club act and then on your own.
- Sunday
- 11:30 or so: Meet for breakfast/brunch (place yet to be determined) most likely a breakfast buffet
For Sat. night, I would choose a show, but considering there are so many who have all sorts of different tastes, I figured the best thing to choose would be a comedy act. A place where we could go and have a drink and relax and laugh and have a good time. Of course, there are strip bars if some would rather or if you'd rather go to a show, go for it. *S* But that's what I had in mind for the weekend, trying to keep costs down and yet still have a great time. *S*
Personally, i am leaning towards seeing The Amazing Jonathan, if no one has seen him, he's a riot!! A great magician/comedian....but an Improv would be good and we could always go from there to the strip clubs *EG* who says we can't do both? the Night will be YOUNG!! *LOL*
