There's something about whispering that really intrigues most of us.

It is definitely an attention getter... for sure!

When someone talks normal, you can't help but hear them,

and you decide whether to "tune them out" or not.

But when someone whispers... it forces you to listen;

to pay attention to what they are saying.

Whispers are usually meant for only one person to hear

but there is something instilled in all of us to stop

and listen to even the smallest whisper.

As a child, did you ever play "Pass It On"

where one person whispered something in your ear

and you had to listen carefully and then tell the next person in line?

That game was supposed to help us with our listening skills.

Some people still can't seem to whisper!

Some learned to whisper, it seems, when the train went by!

Sometimes whispers in the ear can be somewhat intimate.

Whispers tickle the ear and send sensations down the spine.

A face-to-face whisper can also be provocative,

making the heart flutter with desire.

I've often heard that "it's not what you say... but how you say it!"

Whispering "I love you" or "I want you"

seems to come straight from the heart

rather than hearing it out loud in a normal tone.

If you want to get someone's attention...

If you want someone special to listen to you...

shhhhh....

Whisper!
