I guess for some that this will sound kind of silly, but I have always tried to live up to the standards that I have found in the bible. I have tried to do the best I can to follow IT'S example for living.
One of the things I found interesting is that Jesus date of birth was never mentioned, yet his death and resurrection dates were mentioned exactly. All of the dates God set up for his people to celebrate, all had days specifically mentioned to a point where we can know even today, when it is on the calendar.
Another point I found interesting is that there were only two birthdays mentioned in the bible, Pharoah's, and Herod's. Below is quoted from the King James Version of the bible.
Genesis 41:20-22--And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharoah's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler, and the chief baker among his servants. He restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand: But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
Mark 6:22, 24-27--And whe the daughter of the said Herodias came in and danced and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wild, and i will give it thee. And she came straight forth and said to her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist. And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist. And the king was exceeding sorry, yet for his oath's sake, and for the sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her. And immediately the king sent an executioner, and comanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison.
