Before...

Before the show, we went to a restaurant called Player's - home to some of the best burgers and chocolate shakes in central Texas.

During...

The Austin show was close to two hours long, and included many gags, great music, and lots of fun all around. You can see my review of the show, or just scroll down for a short pictoral tour. :)

group hug!At the beginning of the show, the guys all came out joking, and this was their huddle before starting the show. And yes, after the first song, Micky DID try to go offstage, claiming he had a date. (And pointed right at L3isa and myself! :) The entire show was filled with this rollicky, offbeat humor.

These two pics are of the entire group onstage.

Of course, there were also some times where I managed to get a couple good solo shots - one where Davy is having a group of 13-16 year-olds sing the Brady Bunch theme, one of him alone, one of Micky, and finally, Peter standing on a speaker doing an interpretive dance.

After...

After the show, Carrie, Joy, and I were surprised by being taken backstage to meet the Monkees! It was a truly thrilling experience, topped off only by the fact that I actually got a picture of myself with Davy.

If the Monkees ever do come back to Texas again, you can be sure that I'll be there! :)
