alindrome was one of the first books that I ever read by Stuart Woods...and it had me mesmerized for the two hours that it took me to read it. I'll let the summery speak for it's self here:
PALINDROME begins in the emergency room of a
metropolitan hospital and climaxes in a hurricane on a subtropical
island.
..... Beautiful photographer Liz Barwick has for years been the
victim in a physically violent relationship. When she takes refuge on
a primitive, Eden like island off the coast of Georgia, controlled for
centuries by the Drummond family, almost immediately, the solitude
she so longs for is invaded.
..... As she becomes increasingly involved with Keir and Hamish
Drummond, the strange and handsome twin scions of the clan, Liz
feels her own traumatic memories begin to fade. But when a series
of gruesome and seemingly unconnected murders occurs, she learns
there is no place to hide.
I haven't read all of Stuart Woods books yet, but I do know that the ones that I have read, are excellent! The characters are convincing in their fear and their heroisms...and their confusion since it is a mystery. If you would like to read more excerpts from Stuart Woods' books ..before you run out to the bookstore..then this site is a must!
