You may or may not have identified this song by now, but it is "Mandy" by
Barry Manilow. Under normal circumstances, I would be pretty embarrassed to
have a Manilow song on my page, but this song was the inspiration for my
name. My mother is very defensive about me being named after the song,
however. She says that it wasn't so much that she liked the song--she
just heard the song and really liked the name at a time when she was
getting pretty worried about finding a name. So, we always say it inspired
my name, not that I was named after it.
Please let me know if this sound file (MIDI) does not work on your
computer or if the dimensions (height and width) of the player are really
off. It works well with my settings, and the dimensions are just right
for the MIDI player I have, but I need to know if it looks really bad
with other players. (I'm using
Beatnik right now. Let me
