A good Samaritan came by....
There to help....at least to "try"!
He didn't ask for praise or fees,
He was there, just to please!
A gentle touch, for a hurting world,
Where "sails of greed", are often unfurled!
And conscience has been tossed aside,
Lust and sin excel with pride!
A mirror reflects only what it sees,
Do my children see, who I must be?
They may not appreciate my special care,
They may think, that I'm so unfair!
And shrink from unpopular ideas I've kept,
Ideas some cannot ever accept!
I must be true, to my convictions,
Not seek praise.....expect contradictions!
The price is high, don't you see?
For needing this world's popularity!!
They say, that I miss much, in this place,
"Come and join us! Fall from "grace"!"
I smile and cannot ever agree,
They can't entice, someone like me!
The only things I really miss,
Are pain and misery, from a Judas kiss!!
