--My husband, Joe, works for the U.S. Postal Service. Zak, a graduate of the University of Delaware, works as a Technical Writer at SCT. Danny, who is deaf, has just finished his first year of Graduate school at Gallaudet University. He is majoring in School Psychology. He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in N.Y., with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. And I have worked at The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf for the past 15 years. 
Another important member of our family is our adorable Boston Terrier, Lady Gertrude S Binder, better known as Gertie. She celebrated her 9th birthday in March and is spoiled rotten by every member of our family.
As far as breeds go, if you are looking for a dog who does not bark alot, is short-haired (and easy to care for), and has a gentle, pleasant personality, a Boston Terrier may be the dog for you. They also do not need a lot of exercise and would be happy in an apartment or small house.
Gertie is all we hoped for in a dog and MORE!
