Hi. Welcome to the newest addition to my homepage, or should I say, personal site? hehe.
I have now been in the Marine Corps for about 2 1/2 years, and I have only 1 1/2 left on my enlistment. I get a lot of questions about the service from friends, family, and strangers. What do I do? Do I like it? Am I going to stay in?
Well, now those answers will be just a click away.
Please enjoy your stay. I hope you will give me some feedback on whatever you see appropriate.
I am not going to go into the details of boot camp, and that beginning era of my Marine Corps career. You can, however read all about such at my Moms page which she created with that purpose in mind.
Visit her site here. Please remember to come back though! hehe.
WHAT DO I DO?
The people I work with, and I, make the above possible.
i.e. I work in aviation ordnance on Harrier jets.
When I finished school in Penscola, Florida I then went to another school at Cherry Point, Nc. Upon completion of that I was able to travel a little. Everyone knows in the military you get to go places. So I walked across the path and checked into my new squadron, right next door to where I was in school. hehe.
Now, yes, I have got to go some places, I was being sarcastic. I can't help it.
I am still with the same unit, VMA-223 (The Bulldogs). I found this pic of one of our jets.....
A quick, interesting little note...VMA-223 helped in the making of the movie "True Lies". I do not know the details as I was not yet in the squadron. However, if you watch closely, the Harrier jet which Arnold was in, you can see the 223 Bulldog emblem on the side. There is a pic at the squadron of Arnold and some Marines in the unit. I found this cool, and people always seem to feel the same way when they find out....hehe
Do I Like It?
When I first found out what my Mos (Military Occupation Specialty)would be, I have to say I was not happy. Heck, I did not even know what aviation ordnance was. Originally, I came in wanting to work in meteorology/weather service. (you can check out some really cool storm pics on my weather page)
Eventually, however, I have learned to like it. Most of the time anyways. hehe.
Basically I work with all the ordnance the Harrier carries and make sure they will work. Here is another cool "ordie" pic.
Look out below!

Harrier jets have the capability to land and take off from any where vertically.

Will I Stay In?
Well, I can not give a definite answer here. Sorry. There are a lot of things that factor into that....as some would say,
Time Will Tell
I hope you have enjoyed this page. I know I have not included a whole lot yet, but give me time. If you like, check out my other pages. There are many different things to look at around here!
I would love to hear from you!
