Clara and I both use it ) It is the program We use to create most of
our homepage files, including this page. There are quite a few of
these programs out there, but this one is by far the best We have
used. If you are interested in learnig how to use pure Html, then
this is the one We recommend. Clara has become spoiled *S*
using FronPage 2000 ( wysiwyg ) and hardly uses this one any more.
It did allow her to learn Html,although. So when
FP2000 does not do what she wants it to do, she can go to the HTML
and figure out what to do to get it right!

One of the best I have and I have quite a few. This one
shows html links live and opens large files that NotePad will not. I
use it a lot instead of going into Arachnophilia to edit things
really fast. I also use EditPad more and more for this purpose since
I found it.

It has a tabbed interface, which allows you to switch from
one file to the next very fast. I use it to open all my text files
instead of Notepad. If you try any of these editors, this is the one
to try first.

The
Best NotePad Replacement. Faster than Notepad by a great deal. Loads
instantly. I replace Notepad with MetaPad, allowing the Windows
Registry to write that to memory, then I engage EditPad and make it
my default text viewer. This allows EditPad to open .txt files
automatically and still allows MetaPad to open source files when you
click *View Source* in your web browser, and other functions where
Windows uses Notepad as the default viewer.

A
download manager which I have used for quite a while. I paid $20.00
dollars for it and it is worth it, if you are like me and do a lot
of downloading. It allows you to resume downloads if you are cut off
from your isp (if the server you were connected to supports it). The
new version is a 4.0 build and has add banners in the shareware
edition. I recomend the 3.34 version. It does not have add
banner software built in and is a good sound shareware program.

download their pages faster. Nice program. A must have.

| Moochers --- love that name --- One
of the best sites I have found for software. It lists
file size, author, and homepage. Very nice to have all
this information. I found the homepages for a lot of
the stuff listed on this page by just searching for it at Moochers.
I had no idea where I had gotten some of the stuff I
have. It is a lot easier to check for updates and to
ask the author questions if you have the homepage and email address
of each program you run. It took several hours to
track down the homepages for the other six or seven programs I could
not find at Moochers. |
