ALL ABOUT ME

First of all...I am 49, divorced, and have a 13 year old daughter, Emily. I have a page just for her too and I hope you will check it out. I am originally from Bardstown, Kentucky which is home to "My Old Kentucky Home" where Stephen Foster wrote the famous song. We are also known as the bourbon capital of the world, since we produce more bourbon than anywhere else in the world. I now live in Glasgow, Kentucky which is located in south central Kentucky and is known as the cave region. I am just a few miles from Mammoth Cave which is one of the seven wonders of the world. It is a site that everyone should visit, at least once.

As the name of my homepage implies, I am a nurse and I worked at a local factory and loved the work I did. I am now disabled and trying my best to get used to that. I think the world needs more caring people who aren't afraid to show that they care. Prior to the industrial nursing, I worked in geriatrics or long term care. I guess that is my favorite type of nursing but it is extremely demanding and emotionally draining but worth every second of it. You can learn so much from the older citizens and they have so much love to give, if someone will just take the time to spend a moment out of their day with them.

I am a very sensitive person and some say too sensitive, which is probably true. I like all of the sentimental stuff and love flowers of all kinds. I also enjoy fishing, travel, cooking, tear jerker movies, country music and quiet times. I love lighthouses and the secrets they contain. To me, each time I see a lighthouse, I think of the Lord, showing us the way home and guiding us in the right direction. I think they are such a romantic structure and it is a shame that the few left are computerized. Yes, I am definitely a romantic! I don't like deliberate cruelty, whether to people or animals, two faced people or anger. Life, to me is much too short to waste time on these things.
