Ever After is the classic story of Cinderella with a more believable plot (no magic pumpkins in sight). Of course, Danielle(Cinderella) isn't excatly your average girl from the 16th century, but it was a great movie nonetheless. True, it was also questionable why these French people all spoke perfect English, but that too is not the point. The point is that this was a wonderful movie and you should all go see it if you have not. And if you have seen it, I suggest that you go see it again.

Summary

Danielle(played by Drew Barrymore) is raised alone by her widowed father until the age of eight when in the same day, she gets a stepmother, two stepsisters, and her father dies. Eventful day for and eight year old, don't you think? Well anyways, 10 years pass and Danielle is now a servant for Rodmilla(her stepmother) in her own father's house. She meets the Prince(Dougray Scott) and then when he begs her for a name, she gives him the name of her mother, Nicole de Liacre. He is also under the impression that she is a courtier and she allows him to go on believing this. I would tell you what follows after this but then that would ruin the movie for those who have not seen it. Although of course, the two must live "happily ever after" in the end.
